Workshops
Welcome to our workshops section! These workshops are dedicated mainly to discussing treated wastewater reuse, sustainable sewage sludge management, blue-green infrastructure, and integration of energy from wastewaters. Among the partner universities we share and discuss knowledge and experience to advance the water management system towards sustainability and circular economy paradigms.
Our workshop aims to provide a platform for in-depth discussions on the challenges and opportunities of treated wastewater reuse, sustainable sewage sludge management, blue-green infrastructure, and integration of energy from wastewaters. Through this expert discussion, we hope to identify best practices, innovative solutions, and emerging technologies that can contribute to building a resilient future for our towns and cities.
First Workshop - Slovakia
The first workshop in Slovakia was held at the end of March 2023 and focused primarily on blue-green infrastructure (BGI)
in circular wastewater management (CWWM). This workshop was meant to introduce the field of expertise of partner universities to reveal the potential for collaboration on research papers or future joint research projects. Existing projects, including units of green roofs
and green walls, were presented and discussed. The meeting program is available below and presentations are available in the downloads section.
Second Workshop - Bosnia and Herzegovina
The second workshop conducted at the end of May continued conceptually with topics from the previous conference at Štrbské Pleso, which means that a significant focus was still on blue-green infrastructure in circular wastewater management. Furthermore, participants of the projects received even more time to debate not only single provided presentations but also to start discussing a preparation on paper cooperation, which is essentially one of the requirements of the Visegrad fund project. UPCOMING Third Workshop - Czech Republic
The third workshop will be held from the 4th to the 7th of October in Brno, Lednice, and Velke Bilovice. Topics will follow on conceptually previous conferences. Below this post, you will find the prepared schedule and forthcoming topics for discussion to familiarize yourself with.
